Van Bria

Our Legacy

Our mares and foals stand in line with Olympic medalists, World Cup winners and Grand Prix champions. With Isabel’s ongoing involvement, we continue to breed from these proven lines, ensuring the next champions carry the same qualities that have already shone on the world stage.

From our foundation came Olympic Barbria, whose elegance and power helped Tineke Bartels (NED) secure Team Silver at the Atlanta 1996 Olympics.
She went on to shine at the World Cup Finals in Gothenburg (1996) and ’s-Hertogenbosch (1997), leaving an indelible mark on the international stage.

Glock’s Voice

A KWPN stallion of remarkable presence, GLOCK’s Voice rose to the very top of the sport. Highlights include winning the FEI World Cup in Odense 2015, competing at the 2017 World Cup Final in Omaha (6th place) and representing the Netherlands at the Rio 2016 Olympics.
Crowned Dutch Grand Prix Champion in Ermelo (2016), he remains one of the greats of modern dressage.

OO Seven

(Rubinstein I x Gelbria)

With natural charisma and power, OO Seven thrilled European audiences under Imke Schellekens-Bartels and Joyce Lenaerts before continuing his career in Australia with David Shoobridge.
His victories span from the AMEV Cup Final in Maastricht (2002) and Zwolle Stallion Competition (2003) to CDI-W Werribee (2013), where he won the Grand Prix after his move Down Under.

When OO Seven passed away in 2022 at the age of 27, Hoefslag published a tribute on him with the telling title “Why gamble?
OO Seven: the bestdressage genes“:

“The KWPN stallion OO Seven was born at the stables of Isabel van Gisbergen-Sponselee. This was at a time when KWPN breeding was not yet specialized, but OO Seven's pedigree was pure dressage. It was no surprise that OO Seven himself also reached Grand Prix level, and twenty of his offspring have also competed or are competing at the highest level, including the KWPN stallions Zuidenwind and Bono Pasa (both by Jazz), Ambria (by Osmium), Winston (by Coctail), and Bond'sPainting (by Silvano N).”
